I need to start crafting
But I need to concrete in what I am doing first so I am spending a lot of time online at the moment.....
Here are some ideas
Pretty birdies for table numbersI think I will do this and attach them to a frame
Each frame will have the picture of a character in it (eg: Mighty Boosh Characters, South Park Characters, Family Guy, etc - All our fav shows). The table NAMES will be these character names.
Our Carport is an eyesore but a fantastic tool for events.Weather proof, but ugly.
I have had it in my head for a while about draping fabric (attached to the wooden pillars with the staple gun). My thoughs have been confirmed (Just need to source the material)

I think draped fabric sounds like a great idea for disguising a not-so-pretty space.
If covering the entire carport feels like a big job you can just make the tables or chairs or whatever is inside the carport extra pretty so that people dont even notice the plainness of the surrounds.
Lights are also good for that, having some strung around and peoples attention will be drawn to the lights themselves not so much what they are hanging from.
Peoples eyes are drawn to the the pretty or unusual details not the ugly ones which is always good to keep in mind when jazzing up a space
