Our engagement party is this coming weekend (Saturday the 3rd).
43 people have RSVP'd as coming. 8 have RSVP'd that they are not.
19 have not RSVP'd at all.
I've noticed this more and more while I've been growing up, why is it that people do not RSVP?
This is a very important thing to do! Especially when the hosts are providing food and or alcohol!
x
We are providing both! A Super Burger Bar (picture it: 3 different types of burger patties, lots of fresh salad ingredients, sauces, fried eggs, etc - you get to put the burger together yourself) and Beer/Wine/Softdrink.
x
Worse case scenario, let's pretend they all come - 55ppl (approx). We are going to make 70 burger patties (25 chicken, 25 beef, and 20 Vegetarian). Now I need your help..... How much alcohol do we need???? We were thinking: 4 Slabs of heavy beer (96 beers), 1 Slab of Light Beer, 12 Bottles White Wine, 6 Bottles Red Wine and 6 Bottles Sparkling.
Please take into account that people will bring their own spirits, or leave early, etc. I am tempted to add a few more slabs of heavy beer.....
IS THIS ENOUGH ALCOHOL???

Sounds like enough to me... Also consider half might not drink if they are driving. Are you inviting people that are big drinkers?
I completely hate it when people don't RSVP. It's a big pet peeve of mine. So much so that on Morrisons Birthday invitations I wrote "Please use your manners and let my mummy know if you are coming. If you don't you might miss out on a party bag."
Seriously - how hard is it to send an sms saying "yes/ no"
As far as drinks are concerned, Scott's parents own a Liquor Warehouse so we're set ;)
Hope the party went well. Ive given you a well deserved award over at my blog. http://livingthelucylife.blogspot.com/2009/10/lovely-blog-award.html
